“Home” ~ Atlin Morgan and Daniel Sinclair bring you ‘home’ with their new track!

After seeing her first musical, “Annie,” at 3, Atlin Morgan fell in love with the theatre and singing and has been writing or singing music ever since. Raised by a folk singer mother and vocally trained by an opera father, Atlin Morgan was always around music. Her musical resume grew over the years, including a BA in music with distinction from Augustana University in Camrose, AB. As a mother of three children, she is based in North Vancouver, BC, and is a pop, rock, jazz, blues, folk, musical theater, and art music singer.

About two months ago, Atlin released her newest collaboration with Daniel Sinclair, called Home, as a third single from her upcoming album, Lady Grey, which is due out later this month. This nostalgic, easy-going song transports you to another place with both singers’ warm voices, making it a perfect song for occasions like the holidays. However, this song was not originally a duet, but after a jam session with Daniel, it was evident that he could add more. Daniel Sinclair was born in Alberta and has virtuosic bluegrass and country roots. He credits his unique style primarily to Tommy Emmanuel. Daniel and Atlin are busy with shows in Vancouver and are vital members of the local, vibrant, open-mic community.

Classical is the best way to explain this beautiful and jazzy song; it’s slow with smooth vocals that are perfect for a Starbucks or your local coffee shop. Daniel’s voice is undoubtedly a great addition to the song, along with his guitar. Atlin’s beautiful vocals really hit home and are an excellent foundation for this track. With its intimate ambiance reminiscent of a tender standard melded with the heartfelt sincerity of a folk love ballad, the song transcends mere musicality to evoke the essence of a heartfelt exchange between two souls deeply enamored with each other. Through its poignant lyrics exploring themes of love and the reassurance found in a partner's embrace, the song fosters a connection that resonates on a personal level, inviting listeners to immerse themselves in the warmth and authenticity of genuine affection Everything about this jazzy track will make you feel right at home.
