Edie Yvonne is a 15-year-old LA-based actress, singer, and dancer. At a young age, she has already premiered in several short films, and her song, "Queen Bee", came out in partnership with her short film “The Suzys” about mean girls and their minions. Yvonne continues to release solid anthems, most recently with her new single named "Delusion", which came out on Valentine’s Day. This fun pop track is about the complexity of being young and learning more about yourself.
This indie dream pop song is a teen bop that is full of lyrical color and fun and also has a young angst that pairs with the self-awareness in the song. For someone who does a lot of creative work inside and outside of the music industry, her compassion and insight into her world and the individuals around her are so beautiful and empathic. This is something I feel is so key going forward in her creative career, if it’s lost then so will her… everything.
I’m obsessed with comparing Edie’s overall sound to Elif Dame's, such melancholy and honesty it begs to be heard. For a 15-year-old songstress, her music has immense potential. "Delusion" is one of my favorite additions to her magnificent music collection, and it’s probably the most addictive track I have ever listened to. The song is truth-based, and that’s something a young girl like Edie needs to hold on to.
